What happens at LEGOLAND at Christmas?

LEGOLAND at Christmas is a full-on family event with kids' shows, workshops and festive activities scattered around the park.

Attractions include new festive holiday shows and themed rides, although we don't have the details yet for this year.

There are also North Pole scenes set up in LEGO's Miniland and places where you can take pictures with LEGO Santa. Plus, workshops like the Build Your Own Train workshop and the Build to Give workshop, where every time someone builds a LEGO heart, a LEGO set will be donated to a charity.

Will Father Christmas be at LEGOLAND?

Yes. Santa Claus himself will be at LEGOLAND this Christmas, and he has a few early Christmas presents to hand out.

Inside Santa's Cabin, there's the chance to meet him and his elves, plus plenty of photo opportunities for parents.

To see him, you'll need to book an additional ticket for each of your children and select a time slot on the day you're going. Make sure you book this well in advance as time slots will fill up fast.

What are the dates for the LEGOLAND at Christmas event 2025?

LEGOLAND's Christmas event will run on the following dates:

  • 22nd November
  • 29th – 30th November
  • 6th – 7th December
  • 15th – 23rd December
  • 27th December – 3rd January

Does LEGOLAND open in December?

LEGOLAND is open in December, but not every day. The park will open on select dates to match their Christmas celebrations. These dates are: 6th – 7th, 15th – 23rd, and 27th– 31st.

LEGOLAND will not be open on Christmas Eve, Christmas Day or Boxing Day.

Which LEGOLAND rides are open at Christmas?

There are 20 rides and attractions open at LEGOLAND's Christmas event.

This includes classic rides like The Dragon, Flight of the Sky Lion, LEGO City Driving School and more. Some of the rides will also be open after dark.

Are there age restrictions for LEGOLAND at Christmas?

Aside from the normal height restrictions on rides, LEGOLAND is recommended for children aged 2-12. Infants under 2 can of course come into the park, but they may not be at the right age to appreciate the festivities.

How much do LEGOLAND at Christmas tickets cost?

Standard entry to LEGOLAND's Christmas event starts at £34 per person. Children under 90cm go free.

However this is only if you book in advance, walk-in tickets are much more expensive, starting at £68. Meanwhile, short breaks start at £60 per person.

If you want to add a meet with Father Christmas to your visit, tickets cost an additional £27.50.

Is it worth going to LEGOLAND in the winter?

Definitely! Yes, it's cold, but LEGOLAND has so much going on throughout the winter period that we think it's a great way to fill up a winter weekend. With shows, workshops, rides and of course the chance to meet Santa, you can tick off a whole load of Christmas experiences in one day.
